![]() ![]() THIS HOWEVER is NOT fit for even calling early access. I adopted KSP 1 in very early access (my steam hours don't reflect even half my hours on KSP as i adopted for years before it was added to steam) so was more than willing to adopt this in early access and tolerate the notion of an early access build. The sequel to my most beloved game of all time. However, publicly declaring this game a failure only pushes the publisher to pull funding, which will kill not only this game but the franchise as a whole. Yes, as a fan of KSP I'm disappointed in the game's current state. The gaming industry has serious issues, and Private Division is an awful publisher. The only question for me is, will Private Division let them?ĭon't blame the developers for something which isn't their fault. I fully believe that the devs will be able to pull a no man's sky and make this game great given enough time. I'd say gameplay is roughly equivalent to a lightly modded beta version of KSP 1 right now.įor those unaware, the game promises significantly more features than the original game which, if/when implemented, will be incredible. The game was borderline unplayable on launch, but in the months since then the devs have improved performance a good amount. ![]() I'm leaving a positive review but you probably shouldn't buy it just yet (wait for more updates, KSP 1 has more features than this ATM)Īpparently the publisher (Private Division) ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over the devs and forced them to release KSP 2 in an unfinished state, since they refused to provide additional funding if they didn't. Either way it's going to take a long, *long* time until this game is anywhere near an acceptable state worth the insane asking price. You have two options: Buy the game now and put more trust into the marketing team - trust that in my opinion has been misplaced multiple times as they overpromise and underdeliver consistently - or wait and see if it gets any better. ![]() The only two things that it's got going for it are the graphics (which are inconsistent and sometimes look worse than KSP1) and the sound design, both things that can easily be modded into KSP1 for *free*. Good luck trying to launch a moderately tall rocket without coating the entire thing with struts. It's poorly optimised, the UI albeit looking prettier is less responsive and feels worse to use than in KSP (it's a struggle just to plot a simple maneuver let alone attempt something interplanetary) and it's buggier than a 2-week-old corpse in a warm humid attic. Sarcastic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aside, currently the game is nowhere near worth 50€. We promise that it won't be bugged to ♥♥♥♥ again! Here's some cute animals to distract you from the absolute circus that's going on! What's that? The game's buggy, poorly optimised and lacking in features despite costing 50 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ euros? Damn, that's crazy! I know we promised updates every 2 weeks (just like we promised that we'd deliver a functional game in 2020, 20) but could you wait another month or two? We're busy making the science update so the people don't think we're scamming them. ![]()
